A Glasgow killer convicted of stabbing a man to death in Castlemilk has died in prison.
George McKay was sentenced to life behind bars in the High Court in Glasgow in 1975.
The Barrhead man made repeated attempts to escape from custody during escorted leave and home visits.
After being caught, he was given another prison sentence at Perth Sheriff Court.

The Scottish Prison Service confirmed 69-year-old McKay died in HMP Barlinnie in February.
A spokesperson told the Evening Telegraph: “George Sutherland McKay, 69, a prisoner from HMP Barlinnie has died on 24 February 2021.
“He was convicted at Perth Sheriff Court in 2008.
“Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“A fatal accident inquiry will be held in due course.”
