Positive Covid cases have been detected among Rangers fans who took part in gatherings in George Square and Ibrox after their team won the Premiership title.
The Chief Medical Officer, Gregor Smith said that the fuller extend of the number of positive cases linked to the gatherings will become clearer over the next few days.
Dr Smith said: “During interviews with contact tracing teams, there are some numbers revealing they took part in celebrations last week or house parties following it.

“What happens over the coming days is going to be fairly revealing.”
Meanwhile, Nicola Sturgeon said she did not want to have to cancel the Old Firm Match scheduled for Sunday but said that communication with the police and both clubs was ongoing.
She said she hoped that both clubs would continue to tell fans not to gather on Sunday.
She said: "I welcome the statements from Rangers and Celtic. I hope the clubs will continue that. These communications are important on an ongoing basis.

"I don’t want to be in the position of saying the match cannot go ahead but that’s the reality while we are still in this position.
"Big gatherings risk transmission. We run the risk of setting progress back. A lot of people feel very aggrieved at what happened a week past on Saturday and Sunday."
