WE are on the hunt for Glasgow’s best lockdown talent – and our winner will win £1,000.
Can you sing? Can you dance? Do you have a magic trick up your sleeve? If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you.
Times Talent is our new competition – sponsored by one of the UK’s biggest food ordering platforms Foodhub – which aims to put the spotlight on the most entertaining Glaswegians.
Our competition is open to all city residents who just have to prove to us they are the most talented.
To enter, simply visit our form at this website address here and tell us your name, age, and where you are from. You must also tell us what your talent is and provide a contact number.
Finally, upload a video – which is no longer than one minute – showcasing your talent.
Glasgow Times assistant editor Stacey Mullen said: “Come on Glasgow, show us your best talent.
“I know the people in this city can boogie, sing and make us laugh.
“Whether you are a dancer training at one of Glasgow’s top schools or you are a secret singer in the shower, we want to hear from you.
“All we ask is you entertain us and our readers.
“This is the competition Glasgow has been waiting for after enduring yet another lockdown, so get entering and entertaining.”
Ardian Mula, CEO of our sponsors Foodhub, said: “I’m delighted to be working with the Glasgow Times to support their local talent competition. The last few months have been incredibly challenging for all, and this is exactly what we need to bring the community together.
“Foodhub works with a number of local businesses in and around Glasgow, and have supported them throughout the duration of the pandemic, so we’re delighted to have the opportunity to pledge our support over the weeks to come.”
Our winner will take home £1,000 while our runner-up will win £350. Finally a third place prize of £150 is up for grabs.
You can enter the competition alone or in groups – as long as you are adhering to the current lockdown restrictions.
Anyone entering under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
We will review all entries and publish the best in the coming weeks.
The best entries will be published in the Glasgow Times newspaper, on our website, and social media platforms.
The editor’s decision is final and in the coming weeks, we will publish a longlist of 20 contestants which will be put to the public vote.
The closing date for entries is 5 pm on Thursday, April 1.
