A MAN has been arrested in connection with a suspicious package found near a train station today.
The 44-year-old is alleged to have been involved in the incident which saw bomb squad cops swoop on Kilbowie Road and lock down the Clydebank street for several hours.
Singer train station was closed as a precaution and a number of buildings were evacuated when the alarm was raised at around 12.15pm.

Now, officers have confirmed the man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear in Dumbarton Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers were called around 12.15pm to Kilbowie [Road], Clydebank, following reports of a suspicious package.
"Emergency services, including EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), attended, enquiries were carried out and there was found to be no risk to the public.
"Nearby buildings were evacuated and the local train station was closed as a precaution, but later reopened.
"A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, March 19, 2021."
