A thug smashed a number of windows on a Castlemilk property in the early hours of Friday.
Officers searched Blaeloch Avenue amid concerns the person was carrying a gun.
Nobody was injured and no firearms were fired in the area.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “Around 4.30am on Friday, 19 March, officers were called to a report regarding a number of windows of a property smashed in Blaeloch Avenue, Castlemilk.
"They also received information that the person responsible was in possession of what appeared to be a firearm.
“No one was injured and no firearm was discharged.
“Officers attended and carried out a full search of the area. Enquiries are ongoing in the area to establish the exact circumstances and trace the person responsible. Officers following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.”
