A NEW Amazon delivery station is planned for the East End.
The new site will improve delivery and seller services and create 60 permanent jobs, said the online shopping giant.
It will be situated in the Glasgow Business Park, Springhill Parkway and bosses said that more jobs would be created by taking on more delivery drivers.

David Linden, the MP for Glasgow East welcomed the news. The SNP man said: "I’m delighted to hear that Amazon will be bringing a significant number of jobs to the constituency and look forward to seeing this new delivery station going from strength to strength.
“Covid has changed much of how we buy goods and there’s no doubt that demand for Amazon’s services has shot up so it’s good to see the company investing right here in the East End of Glasgow.”
Kerry-Anne Lawlor, Country Director for Amazon Logistics, said: “We are excited to continue to invest in the Glasgow area with a new delivery station that will provide efficient delivery for customers, and create new jobs for the talented workforce.”
Pay for Amazon employees starts at £9.70 per hour.
