A TEEN sensation is the latest contestant in our Times Talent hoping to rise to the top.
Talented Glaswegians are entering our new competition, supported by food ordering company Foodhub, with the hopes of walking away with the grand prize of £1000.
Hollie Peel, 13 from Cardonald, is one contestant who believes that she could take the top spot.
The teenager has entered with her skill in singing.
Katy McCue, Hollie's auntie and singing teacher, said: "Hollie has been singing from such a young age and has always been really confident.
"She has such a unique voice for someone her age and I think she has really found her niche."
Hollie takes inspiration from stars such as Amy Winehouse as well as the music that her parents would listen to, with her soulful voice sounding well beyond her years.
While Hollie has continued singing during lockdown, coronavirus restrictions put a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on pause.
Katy said: "We were supposed to be going to Hollywood last year after she won the Vocal Star competition.
"She would've been speaking to people in the industry and getting her foot in the door.
"It was really difficult to have to cancel the trip but fortunately we are going to be able to postpone it until a time where we are allowed to travel.
"Times Talent is something fun for her to get involved in while she looks forward to visiting Hollywood."
