LOCALS in Bishopbriggs are set to benefit from the extension of an asymptomatic coronavirus testing centre in East Dunbartonshire.
The Auchinairn Community and Early Years Centre facility, which originally targeted the Auchinairn and Woodhill areas, will now be accessible for to wider community in Bishopbriggs.
It means that those who live, work, visit or attend school in the area will be able to get tested for the virus if they do not display symptoms.

Ann Davie, the Depute Chief Executive for Education, People and Business, said: "Asymptomatic Testing Centres are being established across Greater Glasgow and Clyde, targeting communities that show persistent higher than average rates of infection.
"We are encouraging all those from the Bishopbriggs area who have no symptoms of Covid-19 to take advantage of this community testing facility and come for a Covid-19 test."
The Asymptomatic Testing Centre is located in the hall at Auchinairn Community and Early Years Centre and is open Monday to Friday from 12pm until 7pm – no appointment is necessary.
The testing centre will be closed on Friday 2 April and Monday 5 April for the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend
