Ms Ferrier submitted a claim which showed her paying for a three night stay in September of last year at a central London hotel but getting a refund for two of those nights.

Prior to her London stay Ms Ferrier said she began experiencing mild symptoms of Covid-19 on Saturday September 26, taking a test the same day.

Two days later the former SNP MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West travelled by train to London to speak for four minutes in the House of Commons.
