CROSSMYLOOF Bakery Pizzeria have announced that they are set to call The Glad Cafe home after a successful run in the South Side eatery.

The popular menu, which launched earlier this year in January, will be permanently installed in the Pollokshaws Road cafe this summer after gaining a reputation for delicious pizza in the neighbourhood.

The move will see the bakery team join Glad Cafe staff in the same building which once housed the original Crossmyloof Bakery.

Speaking on social media, Crossmyloof Bakery Pizzeria said: "The Glad Cafe is situated where the original Crossmyloof Bakery once stood.

"Established in 1840 by Neale Thomson of Camphill, this local philanthropist undertook not only to provide local workers with nutritious and affordable bread, but also to improve their working conditions and rights… we were inspired!"
