THE owner of a Glasgow restaurant was left in shock when he spotted a bike chained to his shutters.
Domenico Crolla, owner of ORO in Shawlands, arrived at the restaurant this morning to get prepared ahead of its reopening next week.
He said: "I got a bit of a shock when I approached my shutters and I saw this bike there. I thought how am I going to get the shutters up? I had to call someone to give me a hand because the shutters wouldn't hold the weight of the bike.
"One of the hairdressers from the businesses next door lifted the bike up and I was able to put the shutters up."
Domenico, who will be opening the restaurant next Monday when coronavirus restrictions ease, was in today to get things prepared.
He added: "If I couldn't have got the shutters open it could have been an issue. Today is the first day of getting all the staff back so we all got a bit of a shock."
The bike was chained to the shutters at around 8am this morning, and the owner has since returned.
Domenico, who is taking the situation in good spirits, is asking people on a Facebook community group to come up with a funny caption for the image.
