A WOMAN was caught stealing bedding and beauty projects because she had used her benefits to buy drugs.
Lee McCluskey was snared on February 21, 2021, at Tesco Extra in St Rollox Business Park stealing a quantity of clothing, bedding, beauty products and razors.
Depute fiscal Jessica McGowan told Glasgow Sheriff Court the value of the goods was £310.
McCluskey's defence brief told the court: "She is very disappointed in herself.
"This was a lapse.
"The items she took were for her to use because she had used her finances to buy some drugs."
The 42-year-old is already serving a community payback order of two years.
Her lawyer said she was interested in receiving help from the 218 Project, which provides an alternative to custody for women in the justice system.
Sheriff Shona Gilroy deferred sentenced and called for a review in four months to see if McCluskey, of Royston, could be of good behaviour.
