BOATS speeding down the River Clyde were stopped by specialist cops after alarm was raised.
Dive and Marine officers went sent out to stop the two ribs which were spotted racing down the river earlier today.

A police helicopter was also deployed in the chase.
It is not known why the boats were stopped but police acted after concern was raised by several members of the public.
The boater was traced to an address in Greenock by police who gave him a telling off.

Police Scotland's Air Unit tweeted: "Police helicopter assisted colleagues from our Dive & Marine Unit locate a fast-moving Rib style boat on the River Clyde, Glasgow, following several calls from concerned members of the public.
"The boat traced and stopped. Enquiries continue."
A spokesman for the force said: "Officers were notified about the presence of a rib style boat on the River Clyde in Glasgow shortly before 1pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
"The craft was later traced near to Greenock and the sole male occupant spoken to. No further police action is expected.”
