A DRAMATIC boat chase that saw airborne and specialist marine cops pursue a rib down the River Clyde ended in a telling off.
We told yesterday how specialist police had been sent out after several concerned members of the public had raised the alarm that a small speedboat was tearing down the water.

Now we can reveal police tracked down the occupant of the boat to an address in Greenock and gave him a talking to.
It is not thought a crime was committed but there are speed restrictions in place along the Clyde.

A spokesman for the force said: "Officers were notified about the presence of a rib style boat on the River Clyde in Glasgow shortly before 1pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
"The craft was later traced near to Greenock and the sole male occupant spoken to. No further police action is expected.”
