A MAJOR drugs bust uncovered a cannabis farm worth nearly £200,000 as two men were arrested in connection.
Officers raided a property in Shandon Crescent, Balloch on Monday and found 297 plants, which police said were worth around £178,000.
Two men, aged 20 and 46, were arrested for alleged offences under the Misue of Drugs act and are due to appear in the dock at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
The planned operation involved cops from the Greater Glasgow Serious and Organised Crime Pro-Active Teams.
The bust showed the police's "determination to rid our streets of drugs," said Detective Inspector Craig McPhail.
He added: "Through effective intelligence gathering, the help and support from the local community we continue to cause considerable disruption to the supply of drugs in the area and to associated organised crime.
"We will continue to investigate those who profit from, and care nothing for, the misery that drugs bring to individuals, their families and communities."
DI McPhail urged anyone with information on illegal drugs operations to contact police on 1010 or through Crimestoppers, where anonymity can be maintained on 0800 555 111.
