A HOSPITALITY boss has said that week-to-week Covid restrictions are "strangling businesses".
The Management team behind The Gannet in Finnieston told how their eatery was fully booked before restrictions were announced.
Now, due to cancellations, they are only seeing a "handful" of tables per day.
A Tweet reads: "We had a fully booked restaurant this week and the five following, now we’re down to a handful of covers per day and cancellations keep coming in.
"I can’t blame the guests they want the full package served at a reasonable time, week to week restriction updates are strangling businesses."

Their Tweet comes in response to a statement released by the Scottish Hospitality Group, calling on the Scottish Government to move Glasgow to Level 2.
It reads: "Glasgow is the only place in the UK from Monday where no alcohol will be served indoors.
"This is absolutely catastrophic for businesses financially and mentally going up and down from level 2 and 3. Hospitalisations are low."
Their pleas come after a warning from the co-owner of The Ubiquitous Chip, Stravaigin and Hanoi Bike Shop, who argued that businesses will fold due to constantly changing restrictions.
He said: "We are not in a good place. To put you in the picture, quarter to five last Friday we got the news that we wouldn’t be moving into a tier we would much rather have been in.
"We have spent three days phoning 700 people who were all booked in for tomorrow (Saturday, May 22). It took three people, three days to apologise, trying to stay positive while doing it.
"How long can you expect businesses to limp along in a loss-making situation before they all start to fold? It just doesn’t make any sense."
In line with most of Scotland, Glasgow was expected to move from Level 3 to Level 2 of the Covid restrictions system on Monday.
It would have meant the full opening of indoor hospitality and household mixing.
Due to a sudden spike of Covid cases, the city will remain in Level 3 for at least another week.
