The Scottish Green Party has apologised after Glasgow MSP Patrick Harvie was spotted at a bar with people from more than three households.
The Greens co-leader was seen with fellow MSPs Lorna Slater for the Lothian region and Ross Greer from West Scotland as well as another man at around 5pm yesterday at Browns in Edinburgh's plush George Street.
The Scottish Sun ran pictures showing the three MSPs and one other person today.
As a Glasgow resident, Mr Harvie is permitted to leave the local authority area for work, but there is no provision under the coronavirus regulations for people to enter hospitality venues.
In a statement, the co-leaders Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater said: “We attended a work-related meeting in a venue in central Edinburgh on Tuesday evening, where the three-household limit was not upheld.
“This was an honest mistake, we're kicking ourselves and we apologise unreservedly.”
