A RESTAURANT serving up quality burgers and desserts could open in Pollokshields if planners approve a proposal.
A planning application has been submitted to Glasgow City Council asking for permission to turn a vacant retail unit into a restaurant with takeaway facility on 253 Maxwell Road.

A statement said: "The proposed development will see this vacant property transformed into a quality burger bar/dessert, café/restaurant, selling essentially a range of burgers and fries as well as a comprehensive range of desserts, soft drinks, coffee/teas and other sweets. The venue will not sell alcohol."
A decision is expected on the plans by Friday, July 23.
