A 999 RESPONSE has been sent to the city's Pollokshields to tackle a fire.
Police and fire crews were spotted in McCulloch Street this afternoon.
Smoke could be seen coming from the top floor window of a three-storey block of flats.
It is not known at this stage if anyone has been injured.
William Docherty, who lives in a nearby flat, said: “I was out at the time and got a call from the housing officer checking in on me.
"I’ve came back and got quite a bit of a shock. I didn’t expect it to be this bad.
"It’s been happening quite often recently.
"There was a fire at St Andrew’s Drive and at the dessert shop. I just hope no one is hurt.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
