GLASGOW detectives investigating an incident near a city supermarket have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to. 

They are investigating an assault near Morrison's in the Gallowgate on Sunday, August 30 last year.

They say the incident occurred around 8.35pm, and a man was injured. He also required hospital treatment.

The man in the image they wish to speak to is described as white, around 25 to 30-years-old, approximately 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He has dark hair and dark stubble. He was wearing a green hooded top and had a black bandage on his left arm.

Detectives believe he may be able to assist with their ongoing investigation.

Detective Constable Lesley Anderson said, “I am appealing to any members of the public who were in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch. In particular, if anyone recognises the man in the image, please do contact us.

"Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3613 of 30 August, 2020. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously."
