POLICE are appealing for witnesses of a serious assault in a Paisley street, following a 'terrifying incident'.
A 42-year-old man was attacked with a weapon on West Buchanan Place between 1.00am and 3.00am earlier this morning.
The man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital to have his injuries treated.
He has since been released from the hospital.

The attacker is described as male and was wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident.
Detective Constable Ashley O'Neill from Paisley CID said: "Thankfully the man’s injuries were not life threatening, but this has been a terrifying incident.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who has any knowledge of the assault can contact us via 101 quoting reference number 0366 of the 10th of June 2021. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
