A THUG armed with a sharp metal screw robbed a man of his wallet.
Graeme Rose, 51, pounced on Pierce Houlihan in Glasgow’s Shawlands on May 6 this year.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Rose tailed Mr Houlihan to a close of a block of flats on Pollokshaws Road.
Prosecutor Cavan Ryan-Hume said: “Rose shouted to him ‘where’s your money, give me your f***ing money’.
“Mr Houlihan ran up a flight of stairs to get away but Rose grabbed his arm tightly preventing him from moving.
“Rose then screamed ‘give me your phone and money’.
“Mr Houlihan saw that Rose had a closed fist with a silver metal object protruding which was presented to him.
“This was believed to be a knife.”
Mr Houlihan handed over his wallet to Rose who fled the scene before a 999 call was made.
Rose was traced by police and caught with a “large silver metal screw with a sharp pointed end.”
He pleaded guilty to assault and robbery.
Sentence was deferred until next month by Sheriff Martin Jones QC who continued Rose’s remand in custody meantime.
