EXTRA Covid vaccination clinics are to open across Lanarkshire with residents asked to roll up their sleeves for the jag.
The number of jab centres in the area will be increased in the coming weeks and be open to anyone aged over 18 who has not had a first dose.
They will also welcome those who have waited eight weeks or more since their first shot and who do not yet have a second appointment.

NHS Lanarkshire bosses will open drop-in centres in towns such as Hamilton and Cumbernauld from tomorrow.
Dr Mark Russell, lead for the covid-19 vaccination programme in Lanarkshire said: “These drop-in clinics will help us to vaccinate our communities as quickly as possible and allow us to get back to the things we’ve missed.
“I would urge people who have appointments already booked over the next few days to keep these, so the drop-in clinics are available for those who don’t have appointments. This will make sure that our clinics run as smoothly as possible.
“By the very nature of a drop-in clinic, no appointment is needed. We expect there to be queues, so please be prepared to wait. We have increased the number of local centres we are using so the clinics are accessible to people across Lanarkshire.”
