PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly rejected a Scottish title over fears their son would get bullied for it.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rumoured to have knocked back the title of the Earl of Dumbarton for their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor because the historic Scottish town has the word "dumb" in its name.
The couple, who have been in a war of words with the Prince's family through the media since January 2020, feared their son would be made fun of had he been named after Clydeside town, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Jackie Baillie, the Labour MSP for the area, took the apparent rebuke in good humour, tweeting a meme of herself saying "Mon Then".
Too late! 😂 I am reflecting on this low blow and will issue a full statement in the morning. In the meantime….. https://t.co/6mnCBivkdz pic.twitter.com/Wn9auz1ZvE

She added: "I am reflecting on this low blow and will issue a full statement in the morning."
Meghan and Harry moved to Los Angeles after a public fallout with the Prince's family and dissatisfaction with the ways in which their lives were covered by the UK media.
