A BARMULLOCH primary school has raised almost £8000 for Cancer Research UK.
St Catherine's Primary has raised an astonishing £7890 for the charity after taking part in a Race Schools challenge.
The event saw almost 400 pupils take part.
Michelle Wright, headteacher at St Catherine's, said: "It was a fantastic event, the whole school got involved so all 389 children took part.
"I am absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of money the children have raised, it’s wonderful to see how many people feel so strongly about Cancer Research UK as a charity."
Kelly Fallon, from Cancer Research UK, said: “The pupils and families of St Catherine’s Primary School have made a huge contribution to Cancer Research UK’s work and we are incredibly grateful for their support."
