"So my phone rang on that day and I decided to come outside to have lunch, this was around after one. As soon as I opened my door, I took two steps outside and I felt someone stab me from the back.
"I turned to see who it was and he stabbed me again in my tummy. It was two in the back and three in my tummy and one in my finger."
He also spoke about how the attack has left him mentally scarred and how sudden noises can make him jumpy.
He added: "It is quite tough on me. At times, even if I'm sleeping, if my flatmate opens the door, I get shocked.
"Often now, I will go into my room and think about all this stuff and start shedding tears. I don't think it's good for my health.
"I have counsellors who are doing counselling with me."
The only fatality in the attack was Abadlla Adam, who was shot dead by armed police.
He was buried in New Linn Cemetery in Glasgow on July 18 last year.
