A TOP Scottish actor has compared serving meat at key climate talks to serving booze at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and demanded it be taken off the menu.
Alan Cumming, best known for his Broadway performances and turn as Eli Gold in the hit TV series The Good Wife, has written to Alok Sharma, the president of COP26 to demand a vegan-only menu for delegates to the crunch conference.

World leaders and their aides will descend on Glasgow in November to attempt to hash out the planet's response to the climate crisis but could be eating products of one of the leading causes of global warming.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - better known as Peta - claim a "widespread" adoption of a vegan diet could cut carbon emissions by 70% by 2050.
Mr Cumming wrote: "Given that animal agriculture contributes to many of the serious environmental problems the planet is facing, I hope you’ll agree that serving meat while trying to fight climate change is like serving beer at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
"If the goal of the COP26 summit is to protect the planet – as well as promote compassionate, responsible behaviour – animal-derived foods have no place on the menu.”
A COP26 spokesman said: "We are working with partners to deliver reasonably priced, sustainable menus which will be inclusive for delegates attending.
"These menus will align with UNFCCC recommendations on provision of catering for COP.
