Just in time for the 4th of July, the streets of Merchant City have been transformed for a mystery film shoot with a distinctly American theme.
This morning saw a flurry of activity on Cochrane Street as crew members used cherry pickers to adorn windows with stars and stripes in preparation for filming what we’ve been informed is a ‘well advertised blockbuster’.
Speculation is rife as to just what this blockbuster could be, especially given that Scotland is currently known to be hosting multiple big-budget shoots.
However, with rumours that the fifth Indiana Jones film was recently filming at Aldochlay near Luss, we can’t help but wonder if this new set might have something to do with the world’s best-loved archaeologist.
If this is the case, then a star-studded cast including Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and of course Harrison Ford could soon be paying a visit to the city centre location.
Filming is said to be taking place over the next month with nearby businesses shutting their doors to give cast and crew full use of the street.
We can't wait to see our city back on the big screen, even if we do have to wait a little longer to find out what exactly what film we'll be buying tickets for.
