TRIBUTES have been paid to tragic Barry McLachlan after he was found dead in a close in Lambhill.

Police have confirmed they are treating his death as a murder and a 26 year old man has been charged.

Pals have launched a Just Giving page in order to raise money for his funeral and almost £2350 has been collected so far.

Rossco Campbell said the 33-year-old who was from Glasgow and known as 'Big Baz' had a good heart. He added: "R.I.P Bazza. Devastated. Truly were taken to soon. Always had your door open to us all anytime and always had a good heart. You will be sorely missed bro, but will always be remembered."

Another donor said: "Very sad news you will be missed by so many such a lovely guy."

Jamie Grant said: "Devastated when I heard the news, always made time for us all over the years. Loads of good times shared and will be sorely missed."

Community page No1Seems2Care also paid tribute to Barry, saying their thoughts are with his family and friends.

Barry was found dead at a property on Knapdale Street in Lambhill at around 2am on Saturday morning. A 26-year-old man is set to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in connection with the incident today.
