DRIVERS have been warned that a major road near Silverburn will be closed next week.

The westbound carriageway of Barrhead Road requires to be shut to traffic between Braidcraft Road and Fairchild Avenue.

Glasgow City Council say the closure is to allow for resurfacing works to take place.

Work will commence on Monday and is expected to be completed on Thursday.
