THE people of the East End of Glasgow have been hailed as the "most thoughtful" in the city after a couch was left on train station steps.
Some community-minded soul left the settee perched on steps leading down to the platform at Garrowhill station.
Someone’s left a couch on the stairs of Garrowhill train station this morn in case you get half way up in this heat, and want a wee rest. I’ve always said the people of the eastend are the most thoughtful in Glasgow and this just proves it xxx pic.twitter.com/pqPUerfMWz

With the temperatures on the rise over the past week, one local thanked the mystery sofa benefactor for their generosity.
They said: "Someone’s left a couch on the stairs of Garrowhill train station this morning in case you get half way up in this heat, and want a wee rest.
"I’ve always said the people of the East End are the most thoughtful in Glasgow and this just proves it."
But don't include it in your travel plans because a ScotRail spokesman told the Glasgow Times today that the sofa has now been removed.
