A MAN will stand trial next year accused of making his partner sleep on a dog’s bed.
Brian Scott, 35, allegedly hounded the woman between January 2017 and March 2021 at properties in Lennoxtown.
Prosecutors claim Scott engaged in a course of behaviour which was the abuse of a partner or ex-partner.

It is stated Scott acted in an aggressive manner and repeatedly struck her on the head.
It is alleged he poked her in the eye and demanded that food was made for him.
The charge states that she was then choked and “forced to sleep on the dog’s bed.”
Scott is also claimed to have assaulted the woman by throwing a quantity of vodka over her head and body.
It is stated he then choked her again before shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence at her.
Scott faces separate allegations that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner.
The charge states he repeatedly turned the volume up on a stereo and refused to turn it down.
It further claims that Scott climbed into a window uninvited at a property in Lennoxtown.
It is there Scott is claimed to have damaged items and slept there uninvited putting the woman in fear or alarm.

An earlier alleged incident states Scott struck Miss McGonigle on the head with a glass to her injury and permanent disfigurement.
Scott’s final charge claims he assaulted a different woman at a property in Lennoxtown on August 15, 2020 by throwing vodka over her head and body.
Scott, who appeared from custody, pled not guilty today at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A trial was fixed for February by Sheriff Paul Crozier who continued Scott’s remand meantime.
