THE closure of one of the Subway lines has sparked chaos for commuters.
It is understood that the inner circle of the underground railway system is currently shut.
Passengers are piling on the outer circle line which will take them a much longer route to their destinations.
A tweet from the Glasgow Subway at around 6.20am today confirmed the line had closed.
The metro system claimed at 8am that the line had reopened but a passenger on the outer line told the Glasgow Times the tweet was "wrong".
A spokeswoman for STP, which manages the Subway, said: "The nner circle was suspended due to a power failure on the circle. Services are now resuming, currently with a shuttle service between Shields Road to Buchanan Street. Engineering is completing a check of the circle before full services restart."
