THE second of two cruise liners berthed on the River Clyde is to say farewell to Glasgow.

Braehead shopping centre has revealed on social media that an Azamara cruise ship is leaving its temporary home tomorrow morning at 10am.

Although Braehead showed a picture of the Journey, the Pursuit was due to leave the dock and head out to sea.

A spokeswoman for Azamara said the company would not be commenting on the sailing.

It follows in the wake of sister ship Azamara Quest, which drew huge crowds last month as she set sail for a dry dock in the south of Spain.

Glasgow Times:

Azamara has so far made no announcements about the ship's farewell but the shopping centre posted a hint on Instagram.

Journey, and sister ships Azamara Pursuit and Azamara Quest, berthed at King George V Dock in June last year due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Azamara was the first to say goodbye to Glasgow, sailing out of King George V docks on July 26 guided by tug boats and river pilots.

The Pursuit will be the last ship to leave - and she has just celebrated a birthday.
