Hutchesons City Grill will not reopen.
One of the most impressive dining rooms in the city, a landmark hidden in plain sight, was transformed into a restaurant over three levels.
Seafood and steaks enjoyed while being distracted by details on stained glass windows under glorious high ceilings.

It featured in my Glasgow's 100 Best Restaurant book and brought more attention to John Street, and the city centre.
The building is a category A listed building that had fallen into disrepair but underwent a £1.4 million refurbishment in 2014.

James Rusk spoke to me this evening and confirmed the restaurant has closed and said that he hopes that the historic hall continues to be looked after.
Rusk & Rusk have reopened The Spanish Butcher - their Bar El Sabio will have a series of cocktails inspired by Spanish ferias and artists - and The Butchershop Grill remains the best place to have a burger with a view of Kelvingrove Museum.
