Celtic look set to miss out on Thomas Henry after Gent tabled an offer for the Frenchman.
The striker had been interested in a move to Glasgow but Celts have not yet made an approach.
Belgian giants Gent, meanwhile, have officially lodged a bid for their target and it is understood his representatives are seriously considering an offer.
It is believed Celtic would have to offload Odsonne Edouard before making any swoop for the player but the former PSG hitman is not expected to go anywhere any time soon.
Henry, 26, notched 21 goals last season for OH Leuven and has already scored three in four this term.
It is believed there is a £7million price tag on the attacker's head and that the Hoops would have to splash the cash to get their man to partner Kyogo Furuhashi up top.
