TWO MEN have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged "disturbance" in Glasgow.

Officers were called to Gartcraig Road at around 8.25pm yesterday.

A 36-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury and was released after treatment.

A 22-year-old man was also taken to the same hospital with a back injury and was released after treatment.

Police confirmed both men have been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.

They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged incident on Monday, August 23.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 8.25pm on Saturday, 21 August, to a report of a disturbance in Gartcraig Road, Glasgow.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury and released after treatment.

"A 22-year-old man was taken to the same hospital with a back injury and also released after treatment.

"Both men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 August, 2021."
