A MAN has been arrested following a disturbance in Glasgow's Cranhill area, with the explosive disposal team attending to a "suspicious item" in a nearby car.
The 57-year-old was arrested during the disturbance on Bellrock Street at around 8.30pm last night.
Following enquiries, cops made the discovery of a "suspicious item" in a car on nearby Loretto Street.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit were called in and the car was made safe.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 57-year-old man has been arrested following a disturbance in Bellrock Street, Cranhill, Glasgow, to which police were called last night Tuesday, 24 August, 2021 around 8.30pm.
"As part of enquiries, officers searched a car in nearby Loretto Street.
"As a precaution, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit attended and a suspicious item found within the car was made safe. Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
