NHS Lanarkshire's Covid-19 vaccination programme is moving to new premises next week.
This move is in preparation for the next stage of the programme.
The majority of sites are new, with the continued use of Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and Fernhill Community Centre.
Dr Mark Russell, Lead for the covid-19 vaccination programme in Lanarkshire, said: "We have been working closely with North and South Lanarkshire councils to identify suitable venues for the next phase of the covid-19 vaccination programme.
"We had to balance the venues being returned to their normal use with the number of other criteria used to identify the sites.”
New sites:
- Airdrie Town Hall, Airdrie
- Fernhill Community Centre, Rutherglen
- Braidfute Retail Park, Lanark (with satellite locations TBC) St Nicholas Church Hall will be used for the first few weeks until the new site is ready
- Link Community Centre, Cumbernauld
- Ballerup Hall, East Kilbride
- Banqueting Hall, South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters, Hamilton
- Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell
There will be no vaccination clinics running from Monday, August 30 to Thursday, September 2 to help with the move to the new sites.
The clinics will then resume on Friday, September 3 in Lanark.
The remainder of sites will open on Saturday, September 4 (except Lanark due to Lanimers).
Dr Russell added: “We would like to thank everyone who has attended for their covid-19 vaccination so far and hope people will continue to attend for their first and second doses.
"People will now begin to receive appointments for these new locations. These new sites will also be used to deliver this year’s flu vaccinations and more information on this programme will be published once it becomes available.”
Information for all Covid-19 vaccination drop-in clinics is available on NHS Lanarkshire's website.
