JOHN HARTSON has downplayed Odsonne Edouard's glaring miss against Rangers in Sunday's Old Firm derby - insisting that the error is "just one of those things".
Rangers hosted Ange Postecoglou's side in the first meeting between the two rivals this season, and the game was tied at 0-0 at half-time.
Ryan Kent's shot that hit the post was the closest the home side came to opening the scoring, while Edouard was guilty of spurning Celtic's best opportunity.
Kyogo Furuhashi was slipped in behind the Rangers defence and squared the ball to his team-mate just a few yards from goal, only for Edouard to mis-cue his shot.

Appearing on Sky Sports, former Celtic striker Hartson was sympathetic to Edouard's plight during the interval.
"It’s a huge chance in the context of the game and if you wanted it to fall to anyone it would be him or Kyogo," he reasoned.
"Obviously this time [Furuhashi] is wide and he puts in the perfect cross, Edouard makes a really good run across the near post and he just … he just mis-hits it.
"And that can happen. I’m not going to be too critical.
"This can happen. He gets in a perfect position and he would normally put that away with his eyes closed.
"It’s just one of those things where you’re thinking ‘it’s a goal, it’s a goal’ and ‘oh, what happened there?’."
