A THEME park near Glasgow is set to celebrate the arrival of the spooky season with the return of its popular pumpkin festival later this year.
The family Halloween event will be held at M&D’s Theme Park in Motherwell and will take place throughout October.
As well as picking your own pumpkin, the festival will include theatrical performances by Folksy Theatre every 30 minutes.
The show tells the story of Professor Madtricks and his wacky experiments as he tries to get back at the naughty pumpkins who keep pulling pranks on him.
There will also be games for all ages, a pumpkin trail and an exclusive Pumpkin Express train ride for youngsters.
The festival will take place on October 9 to 17, 21 to 24 and 28 to 31 in Strathclyde Country Park from 11am, with last entry at 4pm.
Dedicated days for people with additional support needs will take place on October 23 and 31 at 9.30am.
Jensen Taylor Connelly, of M&D's Scotland's Theme Park, said: “The Pumpkin Festival has become a real fixture in the family calendar and is a great outdoor activity for everyone to enjoy at this time of year.
"It’s a real marker that Autumn has arrived. We’ve introduced new activities especially for young ones.
"It’s great to see the children’s excitement and everyone just loves to go home with a pumpkin ready to carve."
Tickets are priced at £8.50, which includes entry and a free hot drink, or £10.95, which includes a pumpkin and needs to be pre-booked HERE.
