As the festival season draws to a close, TRNSMT is sure to provide the goods as it returns to Glasgow Green for the first time since 2019.
Yes, that's right - some of the best known names in music will descend on Scotland's largest city on September 10, 11 and 12 to play live in front of thousands of people.
It might be Scotland's biggest festival, but do you know what TRNSMT actually stands for?
Here's everything you need to know...
What does TRNSMT mean?
Officially TRNSMT doesn't stand for anything, with the festival's full name this year 'cinch presents TRNSMT Festival’.
However, that hasn't stopped festival fans theorising over its name...
A Reddit thread suggested that TRNSMT stood for the verb, "transmit", with the vowels removed.
The festival is pronounced as "transmit", which is perhaps how the users came to this conclusion.
In response to the question "Anybody know what TRNSMT stands for or its meaning?", one member wrote: "Transmit. Definition of transmit: to send (information, sound, etc.) in the form of electrical signals to a radio, television, computer, etc. : to give or pass (information, values, etc.) from one person to another."
Another wrote: "Transmit with the vowels removed ... being all cool n that".
TRNSMT comes from the organisers of T in the Park, where the T stood for its sponsor, Tennents.
