A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after a hit and run last week.
The lollipop man was injured after being mowed down by a car that then sped off. The incident happened on Sunnybank Road in Dalmarnock at around 9am on Thursday, September 2.
Police are now investigating the incident and enquiries to trace the car and the owner.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report that a man was injured by a vehicle which collided with him and failed to stop on Sunnybank Street, at its junction with Auckland Wynd, Glasgow, just before 9am on Thursday, 2 September, 2021.
“The man was not seriously injured. Enquiries are ongoing to identify and trace the vehicle involved.”
