THOUSANDS of revellers have flocked to Glasgow Green as the gates opened for the long-awaited TRNSMT Festival.
Eager music fans descended upon the festival site at 11am – the first of an expected 150,000 attendees over the course of this weekend.
The three-day gig will be held for the first time in more than two years after bosses were forced to cancel it last year due to the coronavirus pandemic
Ahead of the event, festival boss Geoff Ellis said the "real excitement" would be seeing happy punters enter the arena.
Gordon Smith, from Newport on Tay, was the first fan through the gates.
The 24-year-old said: "It's amazing to finally be here. I'm so excited.
"I'm going for two days and staying in the city overnight. Keane are playing tomorrow, which is who I'm most looking forward to."

Lindsay Hutchison, of Glasgow, and her group of friends were among the next bunch of gig-goers to set foot on the Green.
The 17-year-old said: "I'm here for three days but the atmosphere already is unreal. The wait for this has felt like forever."
Pal Lewis Kennedy, 19, said: "We've waited a long two years for this. Covid did make the time go by quite quickly. We're here now, though – we've made it."
Mackenzie Paver, 18, added: "We're buzzing to see KSI and AJ Tracey. It's going to be unreal."
One mother and daughter duo made the long journey North to attend the popular festival's fourth year.
Niamh Duthie, 22, travelled up from Swansea with mum Joe, who bought her tickets for her 21st birthday.
Joe said: "We love a festival and Niamh wanted to go, so we tied it in with a trip all around Scotland.
"We went to Edinburgh for a city hop, then we went to see family up on the East coast and now we're here.
"We're so glad it's finally happening, but I'll be sure to wear my wellies tomorrow."

Ewan Richardson, 17, said: "It's been such a long wait for this, but we're really looking forward to it.
"There are great acts lined up for this weekend, so we're really excited.
Mate Archie Sandground, 17, told how Liam Gallagher is the star they don't want to miss this weekend.
Ewan added: "He's is the main person we're here to see. I haven't seen him before, but I love his solo stuff as well as the Oasis classics."
Indie rockers The Courteeners are set to take to the main stage tonight, while fellow Mancunian Liam Gallagher will headline tomorrow.
Electronic duo The Chemical Brothers will close the three-day festival on Sunday.
West Lothian favourites The Snuts cancelled their appearance on the main stage earlier today after a band member tested positive for Covid.
Other acts appearing over the weekend include Primal Scream, Amy Macdonald, Sam Fender, Declan McKenna, Griff and Snow Patrol.
