IT was a homecoming for city rockers Twin Atlantic who burst onto to the TRNSMT stage today urging the Glasgow Green crowd to ‘make some noise’.
Opening with the irresistible recent single Bang on the Gong, charismatic frontman Sam McTrusty screamed, “It’s your boys from Glasgow, make some noise.”
Novocaine and Hold On followed as McTrusty invited the audience to start the classic Glasgow chant of, "here we f***ing go," and the fans followed like putty in his hands.

He then beamed: “This is f***ing class man. It’s been a long time since I felt this kind of adrenaline.”
The band - including bassist Ross McNae - were one of the first to tour the UK once restrictions were lifted on live concerts, a fact that was clear through listening to McTrusty’s vocals which were on point throughout his 50 minute set.
The cheeky Glaswegian then dedicated Barcelona to headliner Liam Gallagher and joked, “This song goes out to him because it’s our poppiest song, I’m sure he’ll like to hear that.”
The set then finished on a sombre note as McTrusty revealed that the gig would be drummer Craig Kneale’s last before dedicating Heart and Soul to him
