KEANE star Tom Chaplain revealed it was ‘nice’ to enjoy a gig before the next lockdown.
The singer was playing TRNSMT music festival’s main stage today when he made the remark.
He told the 50,000 crowd: “It’s nice to be enjoying a gig before the next lockdown.
“Let’s just make the most of it.”
And making the most of it was something he certainly did as he opened up with Bend & Break before launching into Silenced by the Night.
The star, 42, put on an outstanding vocal display during the hour long set despite the fact most musicians were unable to perform live music for more than a year during the first lockdowns.
Tom, however, confessed: “I’m feeling more relaxed now.
“I was s***ing myself after the first few songs.
“I’ve been so long away, it is such a strange experience.”
The upbeat Is It Any Wonder brought the rock to Keane’s set while Everybody’s Changing was a real highlight.
But it was the hit Somewhere Only We Know that gave the fans a moment to remember.
