PRIMAL Scream warmed up the main stage of TRNSMT music festival ahead of headliner Liam Gallagher by bringing some rock n’ roll attitude - and a tribute to Scotland’s national football team.
Opening up with Movin’ On Up and Jailbird, the Glasgow rockers instantly lifted the festival atmosphere as frontman Bobby Gillespie urged the crowd to get behind a ‘here we f***ing go’ chant.
A dedication was then made to Steve Clark and the Scotland football team as Gillespie sang Come Together.
The infectious beat of Loaded then sent a ripple through the crowd who lapped up the anthem as Gillespie teased, “I’ve got a question to ask you Glasgow?”
He then declared the crowd as ‘the best audience in the world’.
Pop rock classic Country Girl proved to be a real highlight before Rocks finished the set.
Gillespie ended: “Thank you Glasgow. You are beautiful as always.”
