Verdict 3 out of 5
ROCKERS Ash aimed to have as much fun as possible during their TRNSMT set after revealing the festival would be their last of the year.
Opening with A Life Less Ordinary, frontman Tim Wheeler said: “We are called Ash, it’s good to be here.
“This is our last festival of the year so we are aiming to have as much fun as possible.”
And the Northern Irish band certainly did that on stage as they looked in their element on tracks Buzzkill and Shining Light.

Wheeler added: “This is our first TRNSMT. “We done a few T in the Parks over the years. The first one was 1995.”
He then laughed “Was anyone not born in 1995?” - recognising the young TRSNMT crowd.
Oh Yeah proved to be a crowd pleaser with the fans singing in unison while Girl from Mars and Burn Baby Burn finished off the set before the band promised a return to Glasgow with a show to take place at SWG3 on September 21.
