Ever since we sat down to talk to Richard Davies of Abandon Ship Bar, who described their latest city centre venture as an 'out there concept', we've been dying to know exactly what this meant.
Now, at last, the wait is over as the Mitchell street premises prepares to open its doors to the public this Friday 17 September.
With these sneak peek photos we're starting to understand just how unique an experience it will be.
The city centre location is described as a ‘fully immersive destination bar which is a sensory explosion from the minute you enter.’
Set across two floors, the space is home to all manner of quirky attractions from an 80’s inspired Tron arcade to a ‘Pickle shack’ serving up craft beers and shots.
Americana soul-food is the vibe at the 80 cover restaurant which hosts a menu devised by chefs from the bar's Southside sister restaurant The Luchador.

Anyone who’s lucky enough to have tried their tacos before will already know this new menu is going to be a good one.
Never ones to fit in with the every day, the team have filled the entire bar with bespoke interiors designed by female Scottish creatives Astrid Carleton and Amanda Davies.
Pair this with plenty of the brands signature artwork by creative director Richard Davies himself and you have what promises to be an Instagrammable opportunity at every corner.
Richard said: “There is nothing quite like Abandon Ship Bar anywhere.
“We’re always looking to innovate with the brand and our new concept is something that all of our team are really proud to be part of.
“We’ve put blood, sweat and tears into our opening and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve created.
“If you love good times, great drinks and cool vibes come and join us as we launch in Glasgow.”
So what do you say Glasgow, meet you at the Pickle Shack?
