A MASSIVE fork has been placed in Glasgow city centre to celebrate the anticipated return of The Great British Bake Off.
The 23ft statue sits below a 78ft building that has been transformed to look like a giant cake.
Both can be seen in the city's Argyle Street.
The new additions represent just one way Channel 4 is turning everyday ordinary scenarios from across the UK into sumptuous creations to mark the return of Britain’s biggest baking show.
Innovative outdoor digital screens in cities including Glasgow depict the locations’ skylines and reflect the changing weather conditions in real-time with a delightful Bake Off twist.
The sign in Glasgow shows raining hundreds and thousands.
Amber Kirby, marketing director at Channel 4, said: “People love indulging in the Bake Off escapism every year, it’s just so gloriously fun.
"This campaign imagines how cake can make life just that little bit sweeter; transforming the mundane, the everyday, and the sometimes serious, into something that just makes you smile."
Last year's Bake Off achieved its biggest ever run on Channel 4 averaging a consolidated audience of 10.6 million viewers per episode.
Series 12 of The Great British Bake Off launches at 8pm tonight on Channel 4.
